any one know how they work?

my snap on dealer said 99 quid for a bluepoint one, but just looked on ebay and they are bloody cheap

like that,

but how the hell does that work, it says air powered, but from what i can see there looks like you push the boot up the cone then slip it over the shaft

they look completely different to this

those 1st ones look like a load of ballcrap. might work on some boots but wouldnt say they are particularly good.

the more expensive air powered ones may not work on the starlet. it will need a serious amount of stretch to get it on.

just as a guess it will have to stretch from about 1/2" or 3/4" to about 2" or 2.5" maybe more. i cant imagine it will stretch that far very easily, if at all

yes if you buy a stretch boot, they will slide over the cone if you put some fairy liquid or oil on the cone, just make sure you turn the boot inside out first!!

with a normal boot youll have no chance though ;)

a stretch boot is ok. but a normal type boot is alot stronger

there for universal gaters and on some pugs where the cv is a part of the driveshaft but on a starlet its a peace of cake just to nock off the cv

there usually easier to fit by knocking the cv joint off, ive tried stretching them but in the end knocking the cv off was always a piece of piss
