CV Joints

i need to replace my drivers side CV joint. How do i know if its 23/30 or 30/30???

i have one at home but has an abs ring.... can i remove this ring and still use the cv joint??

i have a 1991 ep82 obviously non abs so any help would be much appreciated!!!
