Having damper at the softest setting may not always give the most "comfortable" ride.
That is because the damper will not provide enough rebound force to keep the springs in check, therefore you get a "bouncing" ride which isn't necessary comfortable.

Try this few thing to see if it helps.

1. Play with the damping adjustment:
Sometime putting up the damping will give a more "comfortable" ride, so it doesn't necessary mean the softest is the most comfortable ride.

2. Check the springs preload, make sure it is only finger tight:
Alot of time garage install coilovers with about 3-5mm of "pre-load" to avoid noise. But if the springs perch are finger tight (so the spring do not move up or down while in the perch), it shouldn't make any noise and will give the best ride.

If both of these doesn't work, then it is the specification of the coilovers (springs rate / damper valve / etc), in which case the only thing left to change is the coilovers, or the GF. :p
