diagnostic question

hi guys just wondering if i can do the diagnostic flash test on my glanza with my hks f-con still plugged in into my ecu?? will it damage the f-con at all?? and aslo how do i do the flash test and also what amount of flashes mean what, help much apreciated if any one has a link for the information i need, or any info would be a great help
