ran her hard for a full year with track use/abuse and held out fine. not bad for a 20 year old gal :) but lost a crank bearring so she's off the road at the moment :(
but she'll be back!

Had her 4 years and never had no major problem. Only went off the road for 2 days to do my turbo conversion then another 3 or 4 for engine change.

1st problem was when i jet washed the car for the 1st time i managed to get water in the leads/ plugs so had to strip all the ignition bits down to dry and re-fit :)

2nd problem engine management light kept coming on on hard boost on the TD05 which seemed to self rectify after a few days.

3rd problem had the car off the road from boxing day last year for 2 days as the ignition barrel went so i couldn't start the car managed to fiddle for a while and the key just turned and burst into life but for 2 days i couldn't get it to turn at all.

Yep, well tested for longevity in stock-form. If serviced regularly there is no reason for a stock standard GT to breakdown or be off the road!

Apart from the gearbox shitting it's self after 2months of owning it the past few year's have been great with the car...
Has flown threw the past 2 M.o.T's an should do this next one, any problem's i'v had have been self inflicted an easy fixed..

So long as you look after the car it will look after you, people go on at me for working on my GT but thats what keep's it going...

Had mine for 3 and half years, Shes a ep82 1994 on 145,000 miles. My turbo went in first year so got a hybrid and had it ever since. Iv had a clutch and head gasket done. Thats all i have had problems with in past 3 years appart from boost leaks.
