Hey people,

Just a quick one. On Friday i will hopefull be getting all the below fitted to the GT:

Japspeed cat back system
SPS S/S heat wrapped Decat
SPS S/S Oil return turbo line
WEPR Mild Steel Manifold
HKS Actuator
Wastegate on CT9 ported

Engine Mods already:

Japspeed FMIC
HKS Air filter behind front bumper
FSE RRFPR
Helix Pro Organic Clutch
Blitz BOV
NGK Ignition leads
NGK Spark plugs
Oil Catch can

I currently do not experience boost creep at all, even on cold nights etc.. dosent go much past .6 bar when flooring it.

As i will be getting wastegate ported, & i want the boost to be set to .7 on the actuator, should i be all good for a while before i get some sort of management on there?

You think porting the wastegate should stop creep if i experience it? Was thinking that getting the cat back system etc... it will want to creep up? :)

(also, wat does iirc mean? :) ) Cheers

I ported mine but it crept and hit fuel cut last night it was at 0.7 bar, i was half way past another car when it happened. I didn't take enough out of it when i was porting because i didn't want to promote further cracks in the wastegate. As long as it's ported enough it shouldn't creep

hmmmmm ok mate, thanks for your input.

Ill just have to be careful with the right foot for a while. Ill keep it @ .7 & keep an eye on the boost gauge.

Porting the waste gate helped me.
On a really cold night I will hit it but it is allot better than it was before i done it:)

Only thing I can advise is make sure the HKS actuator gets installed correctly, the golden nipple that fits inside the vac tube plays an important part in stabilising the pressure. Apart from a split hose my actuator has been holding boost very well.

darren ported my wastegate and sorted it at the time mate. i only fitted a decat and the boost went nuts lol, also the actuator will help alot.

mines creeping a bit atm, hoping the actuator will fix it. need to get one soon.

mate, thats a hefty lot of gear, cars gonna be a new animal!

Didnt want to go down the fcd route. Think im gonna just go for piggyback in a month or 2. Cheers for the link anyway dude :)

An actuator will do nothing to stop creep mate. The wastegate is still the same size. Fitting a new actuator has made mine creep more because the old actuator was knackered and boost would drop off at higher revs

hmmmm ill just have to see how it goes, im sure it will be cool. If not, ill have to hook up a boost controller or something & hurry up & get some emanage on there lol.

Im looking forward to noticing the difference, which is why i wanted it all done at once. :)

Whens yours going in for the exhaust change?

Yeah porting should help with boost creep but then every cars different some creep with just a mani/decat others don't! all you can do is try it and see :) on cold days its more likely to creep but not 100% going too happen! let us now how it goes mate =D

Yeah mate, ill only find out when i try it.

Ill be taking pics & posting up how it went over the weekend for sure.

what actuator are you running? if its stock you will defiently over boost, i have been running a proted wastegate for over a year on the same sort of setup as you and i very rarely creep i think you should be fine.

Hey mate, i stated the bits that are gonna get fitted at the top of the page. brand new HKS actuator is going on at the same time. Fingers crossed :)

i must of missed the actuator lol, i think you'l be ok then mate if you do experience fuel cut you can always restrict your inlet which is what i did before i ported the wastegate that worked quite well.
