Hey guys and girls
after a long time coming i finally organized to have my car run up on a dyno here in NZ

its an original ep71 turbo s

specs are
5efhte
stock ct9 turbo (from ep82 gt)
custom extractors
tial external wastegate
2inch custom stainless intercooler piping
2 1/4 inch full custom exhaust system from turbo back
running the origonal 2et (sohc version of a 4e) ecu and injectors

it made 108kw@wheels on only 9psi peek boost. around 8.5psi at peak power. torque is 392nm@wheels.

pic of the graph to come...

the torque curve is very even, and the power comes on hard and smooth all the way out to about 6000rpm and then flattens off but doesn't die off completely like most ct9s.

this exact set up has run a 13.7sec 0-400m

feedback and criticism is welcome :)

cheers
Ryan

good result...considering its a ct9
from my experience it must surely drive NICE around the twisty/corners:haha::haha:....the response is immense:cool:

cheers mate. sure does, i can climb almost any hill in 5th gear! the torque steer is actually a bloody lethal combination running a TRD LSD without p/s

harcoreep, how do u mean?

cheers

I think he might be refering to the high cylinder pressure's the 5E creates together with the heat and the small ct9 might not be able to handle such high thermal load.

thanks for all the great comments guys :) , im quite happy where its at power wise for now.
more brakes and suspension mods are next. and a shorter ratio gearbox.

ahh, i see where you coming from, i did wonder the same when i put the thing together but it seems to flow nicely and revs well. i haven't blown up a turbo in the year its been running like this so its holding together ok for now..

Yes that's what i was thinking too, but if you do see a high egt with high boost, jus' pull some timing out and it will be all good :)

That is a really good result for the boost you are runnin' with very good torque, looks like 5E is the way forward

thanks JasonGlanza, fairly stoked with how its going.

gp82: i have retarded the timing a bit to help engine longevity and demote dettonation already, i religiously run in on 98 octane gas also. guess we will see what happens when i put an aftermarket ecu in it and up the boost a bit at some stage down the track... i will bear that in mind. thanks :)
