dyno results

Got the car mapped with my new hybrid few months back and these are the results and engine spec. This was at .95bar

Was kind of disappointed with the torque figure, was hoping it'd be bit higher.
What should I do next to increase this? Better management, fuelling upgrades or even get it mapped somewhere else to see if theres more to be gained as it is.

Thanks for looking and for any replies!

I would say management and a fine tune would sort out the torque buddy but nice figures anyway pal

196 now thats some nice torque:rockon: Yeah must tip down to sligo again soon

Thats a proper accurate result there dude. The dyno dynamics are'nt known as the heart breakers for no reason. Good result man.

Thats a nice result mate :)

Im pretty much at the same stage as you. Im thinking management will help us both out (im using fcd, fpr) but i gotta wait for more funds 1st :(

yep i would say better management,

with some decent management you can get the a/f's a bit better, and you will have the bonus of being able to adjust the ignition timing.

the ignition timing can and will help drastically if done by someone who knows what there doing.

also you could up the boost to 1.1 bar.

next up you would be needing to take the head off ideally, get it ported (not polished as polished is actually very bad and makes the flow worse than stock) and add a set of cams (the idea is you get the head ported to match what the cams will be doing) this will greatly increase torque and bhp, but is also very expensive and quite extreme lol

oh and to be fair thats a fair result,

do you have any more graphs for us to look at?

polish is bad on inlet side but good on exhaust side.

Thanks for the input ricky.
I was actally looking at speedvisions cams the other day. I think il go for some better management next and work from there.
Just have the one graph

no no no no no no no no no NO

you should not polish the inlet or the exhaust side, it is only a myth the exhaust side should be polished.

think of the golf ball technique, and thats the easiest way to describe it.

yeah the engine management will be the more beneficial, and cost effective

only on the inlet side can it work against you, the stock inlet track isnt entirely smooth and the aggravation this causes to the air when its on its way to the cyclinder leaves it disturbed and produces a "better" burn in theory.

on the exhaust side the smoother and free'er flowing the better but anoything polished on the exhaust side is pointless after a few miles from carbon build up anyway, so yeah not mush benefit at all in polishing when porting.

Phil

edit though on a N/a engine apparrently a polish inlet side can work very well with high comp engine with fancy pistons that give a certain squish pattern all of there own. some for the more technical to maybe delevop more for us?

did a brief search and all say that polish wil give you gains and mirror finish will not.. so yeah you dont just port exhaust side.
