Hey guys/Gals.

Moving my battery back from the boot on the weekend and was going to get one of Nick Jones's earthing kits, but cant wait any longer lol

So am going to do it myself. Does it need to be specific wiring to use?

I have some thick blue wire (not sure of details till i get home) that i used ages ago for my subwoofers. Really good quality wire.
Can i use this ? and was just going to ground the wires to specific places in the bay... does it make a difference to ground the wires to like 6 places in the bay as i only wanted to do 2 or 3 points.

Any help apprciated.

Lewis :)

would be good if you used something like 4awg wires, as for 6 points, tbh personally i think 3 points should be enough ;)

Should it say what type it is on the wire itself?
I was thinking 3 shuold be cool, would be better than one any way :p

Thanks for your reply btw mate.

4 awg is the thinkness of the wire bud ;) it may not say it ont the wire.

Also forgot to mention if the standard earthing is only one wire im pretty sure 3 wires will do the job mate .

Yeah may end up doing that, just wanted to save the money as i have the wires and that.... Wanted to get the blue kit though that Nick Jones does as i want blue leads in the bay to match the other blue bits lol :)

You need 105 AMP, I doubt any audio cable will be suitable.

My recommendation as always is to get a Varley Red Top 15 or and Odyssey racing battery and save yourself 10KG's+ and lots of cable.

I grounded twice in my setup, one to chassis and one to gearbox.
