Hi all,

Does any one know where the earth is behind the dash on an EP82 and is there an easy way to check this?

thanks

the only one i can think of is behind the instrument cluster. there are probably a few others. do you have an electrical issue?

think I have got an electrical fault. Just warmed the car up and it ticks over at 750rpm, when I switch the lights on the revs go up as normal but when I switch the heater on the car idles at about 400rpm. should the revs go up with the heater blower on? alternator squeaks under load. if I press the accelerator slightly the revs die also at idle.

Could be the idle up control valve that allows extra air into the throttle body, raising the idle slightly to compensate the extra load on the engine from the alternator.

It could also be the tps, the idle control valve only operates when the ecu knows the engine is at idle, with the throttle shut. The tps tell it so.
