it actually does the complete opposite of what it says it does my mate had a very bad experience with one. i would steer clear mate

one of my mates had one on his corsa and said it improved economy a bit and made a strange noise. didnt really do much else but that.

Personally id steer clear, when i got my 106 rallye it had one of these on, made the car run really lumpy at low revs, took it off ran fine ever since.
