Electric Window Problem

I've recently completed my engine change but for some reason the drivers side window has stopped working, the passenger side still works...

I cant figure it out, has anyone got any suggestions?

Put the old engine back in and see if that sorts it. If not, look for loose wires!!

Check the fuses, earth pointsand check for a broken wire in by the door hinge. You got a power probe?

Yeah got a power probe, checked the door hinge for a break but nothing. Checked the fuses there all ok, strange thing is i push the button to raise the window and the dashboard lights dim slightly as if it was working.... most irritating.

The motor's gone mate. mine is the same when i push the button the lights dim slightly.

Electric window motors are hard to find second hand but i've heard that the motor from a toyota hilux surf will work just change the connectors
