Emanage Blue Problems

Well last night I went to get my car mapped - which didn't go quite to plan.

He couldn't get the Main unit to communicate with the computer properly. The Computer would recognise the ECU was there and it would show up green and online. It just wouldn't let you select any other option other than "Update Main unit", which in turn updates the firmware on the unit and wipes off the current map - which I defeinetly do not want to do. He was using the genuine Greddy support tool (Usb to Serial cable) and he updated his software to the latest version and still no joy.

Any idea's on why this is occuring?

All's that was needed done was a bit more fuel added in the mid-range, so after reading manual after manual he figured that he may be able to do it using the AVV knobs on the front of the unit. This made absolutely no difference at all.

Anyone know how these AVV knobs actually work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm really struggling to find any info.

Thanks
Jamie

just save a copy of your map, update the firmware then re-load the map or copy down the values and type them in.

the AVV knobs are for the standard loom, no injector or ignition looms added, if they've not had an effect it could be because there is a map in and hte EMB disables them or it's not wired correctly, personally never used them.

if you have any more issues feel free to pm me

Did you update your emanage bud? i'v been having simular trouble so im trying to update the unit. It kept failing but now im using another laptop progress has been made. Its corresponding now and the time is goin up. It seems to be taking for ever and not making any progress although the time is racking up, how long does it usually take to update?

I dont know whats wrong with mine then. Iv tried v1.11 and v1.49 using the greddy cable but with no luck updating. Can any body shed some light on this? When i look to see what version emanage i have it dont say. Anyting i can try?

Found the problem, it was something to do with a setting on the driver for the com port on my laptop, i changed a setting from x on x off to hardware and wa la updated
