Don't get a N/A box.

Cant hadle the power.

Some have used on the QTR, but this is at like 14 seconds at a time.

It will blow.

I think the bell house casting is slightly different to suit the mount at the back of the gear box. Therefore, if you're fitting a EP82 gearbox in a EP91 you will need the bracket to suit and visa versa.

Might be wrong??

well maybe so but two 11sec ep's in malta both run the 4sp box with a welded diff as it has been found to last the longest.. even though physically looking at the gears its absolute madness as the gears are much thinner.. but who knows maybe the material is stronger.. anyhows they are both running over 300bhp if that counts for anything...

im afraid thats incorrect.. both are perfectly interchangeable.. (bell housing wise).. the mounts are exactly the same..

yeah...that is wrong....the bell housing are the same....same brackets (UNLESS it a oem viscous lsd box---then the back bracket is different)

Hmmmm. This is why I thought they were different. I bought a replacement engine a while back. It came out of a EP91 and was supplied with this gear box...

I assumed the EP91 gear box was different to the EP82 therefore I fitted my old gear box.

What box is this?

Would I need the additional equal length drive shaft housing and drive shafts or would normal shafts fit?

I'd also need to find the mounting bracket both chassis and box.

now this is just a GUESS.....but i guess in thoery it should work with normal drive shafts if that section has been removed....BUT i'm not sure about if the normal bracket and engine mount will work back now also

and i dont like guessing either:)

I think the splines on the Off side are a bigger diameter to the normal drive shafts. If so it won't work without the viscous housing. Pretty useless without the rest of the parts

first person i've come across that said this in a very long time..i used a 4speed box due to not finding the 82/91 turbo gearboxes

i was running about 250-270hp for quite a while only reason i took it off was due to the clutch needed changing

However its a gearbox not for engines "faint at heart" or should i say power lol but ideal for big hp engines
