I have 2 errors codes 34 and 42.
i tihnk 34 is the turbo pressure signal and 42 is 2000 to 5000rpm coolant over 80 degress, injector duration over certain value and no vss signal.
Does anybody know what these mean and how to sort them out
Cheers

Code 34 is fuel cut, it's stored when boost pressure exceeds approx 12psi.

Code 42 is no speed signal to the ECU. Does your speedo actually work?

Have you reset the ECU to clear the codes and did either of them return?

My speedo bounces all over the place.
So all i need to do is turn my boost down a bit, fix the speedo and reset the ecu
I turned my boost up to .7 bar yesterday and it doesnt have any boost creep so i dont no why its goin to fueld cut :s
ill just keep it on .6
Cheers for ya help anyway

fixes

@yates. that sounds about right. did your error codes come up around the same time your speedo went bonkers..? & do you have a kmph-mph convertor..?

speedo convertor

try run the speedo cable directly to the transmission bypassing the convertor to eliminate your convertor as the culprit. if it's still wobbly then you proli have a bad speedo cable or bad speedo cluster. your boost pressure issues are self-explanatory, turn it down a dime and see if that sorts you out. get back to us with results.. :)

i haven't done the speedo cable yet but took it for a drive and there is no more fuel cut and the light has stayed off.
So if it stays like that next time i drive it i'll just take it to tuning developments to get it sorted properly.
Cheers for the help guys

get into it

you should get your hands dirty on this one mate..! :D sounds like a pretty simple fix, if you have some time and patience, you'll figure it out while having a load of fun and saving some quid.. unless you are not really into getting your back into it.. & would rather get results than enjoy the process.. :)
