ok so at a meet the other day surrounded by twincams and for a laugh one the girls asked what it sounded like on the limiter... id never actually put it on the limiter cos i think its pointless so i said fuck it ....

luckily my boyfriend was walkin by the exhaust just as a did it...

the exhaust spat out about 3 meters of petrol and about half a meter of gunky oil...

the car is a 95 gt turbo... gives no engine trouble at all, boosts fine and isnt smokey when driving ....

it does need an oil change which will probably be done this weekend but just wondering why it did this as its on my mind ever since?????

there will allways be oil vapour and soot in the exhaust, dependant on how old the exhaust is, when the last oil change was done etc... it's fairly normal to on very high revs to get some crap out the exhaust. was there any smoke?

might have been just some vapor lying in the exhaust which may have smelled like petrol due to the fumes from the exhaust? doesn't sound like anything to worry about tbh.

it wont be petrol just alot of vapour... you drove it up engine got hot, it probably sat around for a little and cooled then when you started it and gave it a good rev all the water/oil vapour that had gathered came out.

i wouldn't worrie to much :) aslong as it's not using oil, boost fine, petrol consumption is good, there is nothing to worrie about.

TBH, It's more likely to have been condensation/water than petrol being sprayed out of the exhaust. If you had that much petrol getting into the exhaust it's unlikely the engine would even be running.

I'm guessing the engine had been idling for sometime before hand?

that would be excess petrol + carbon from ur exhaust + water vapour all mixed in one.. there wont be any oil.. ;)

nothing to worry about.
