Well people,
in sorry in advance as I thought to have a little rant about insurances prices. My renewal is up and got my quote which is brilliant in my opinion but thought search further. I must rang around close to 15 insurance companies. Near 15 wouldn't insure me as its a jap import.
my details as follows

Age 23
ncb 2yrs
2pleanty points
Gt turbo
Mods suspension and exhaust.
price 848euro

No one touch me because its a import hard to get parts, its expensive and dunno what's done to the car before arriving. Ok I get their view. Just chancing my arm to see what the market has to over on my gt. So after that decided to stop searching. I was on my way home and I saw a 1.4 non type R rep civic pulled out and I got ahead off all the traffic and I was at the lights then noticed what was behind me I pulled into lane driving home from work and he was edging me to go telling me to go for it I looked over and nodded nope with a smirk he drove off with all the power they produce but honestly noting compared to the gt I was on my way home from work. I wasn't going racing not my thing. As he pulled away I noticed the L sticker on the back. Any wounded we have high insurance because off theses fools!!!!! Giving us people that love our cars a bad reputation!
Sorry about the rant

thanks
Ross.

Just shopping around the market. I know it's cheap but no one will insure them very few companies will. Just that we're giving a bad name for young boy racers.

That be another reason alright dunno over there but here you need 12 driving lessons before applying for full licence and if caught without full licence driver you get plenty points. As well faster to get banned as only aloud six points on provisional license. So insurance sky high so your talking near 4k+ to start driving.

Punishments are pretty poor. You usually get a fine (which is less than what the insurance costs), and penalty points on a licence you probably haven't got anyway.

Quinn Direct is quite reasonable, im paying about £240 a year but i'm old 34 with 10 years no claim bonus, they are good at insuring imports and dont go "ooohh" an import and suck through their teeth before they give you the quote :D
