External wastegate springs

Hi i have a turbosmart 38mm wastegate with 14psi spring tension.

Ideally i would only like around 7-10 psi spring

Have been told by a friend i can remove the middle spring and keep the outer spring and it will have around half pressure and will not make any difference not having the spring.

can anyone confirm this
or link me a different spring.

does yours have an outside spring ? cause you only have more springs to help control boost better if your doing it all from your wastegate so if you wanted 1bar for example you would use a 0.5 bar middle and a 0.5 outer spring

if your using a EBC then really you only want the middle spring

btw im also in same boat got some wastegate but need a 0.5/7psi spring

spoke to my tuner in the mean time and he confirmed this gonna take it apart take the outer spring away should leave me with roughly 7psi
i have EBC so will be controlling boost with that. as im running 1bar didnt want the wastegate to have a spring that tough.
