external wastegate?

can someone tell me the advantages of an external wastegate? do dey make much noise or is dat only wit a screamer pipe? and does a screamer pipe act like a decat?

An ewg will basicly solve any boost creep problems you may have, is a lot better than internaly gated. its only loud if you leave the screamer pipe open to the atmosphere (sounds awesome:rockon bt many people just put it back into the down pipe. its not a decat mate... totally seperate thing, like said tho some people do join the wastegate pipe to the decat. hope this helped
