i would of been better throwing the half tank of diesel i used to go 2 aberdeen on the £350 i have just spent, then put a match to it!!!!!!!!!

Just got the "fresh" engine home to find it its fucked!!!!!

and i am being told it ran with no rattles.... just check out the pics....


first thing i did was remove the rocker cover to find this -

broken exhaust cam where the dizzy drives. so i thought, ok, just use the head from mine, so took the cams out to remove the head to find only 9 out of 10 head bolts there, yet the 10th washer was sat in the hole minus the bolt, so took the head off 2 find there was ecsessive play in the bores, so i took the sump off to find 3 fat rods and 1 anorexic rod. then wriggled the rods to find big end 3 and 4 where about to drop off they were that loose in the shells so took the end caps off to reveal -

no 2 was the anorexic rod, which wernt that great, and number 1 -

fused togeter and the little tabs rounded off, so the shells were spinning in the rod and not round the crank.

BE WARNED!!!! NEVER buy an engine that you have never seen running!!!!!!!!!!

X3 id also demand all but £100 back as thats all a bare block n head would be worth!! Thats a full rebuild needed there. Bang out of order for people to stich others on a forum!!

not my place to name and shame and i don't know the full details...but it is pretty poor craic that a fellow member is ripping people off,hopefully it will be resolved..:)

I think it’s time to clear the air and especially my name since people are calling me a robbing prick, saying to name and shame me and also saying to chuck a engine into my door. Which in my opinion is a immature and a stupid thing to say since they don’t know or have spoken to me.
First off I purchased a black glanza to fix my white one and also broke it to capture some money back. The car had passed a mot the day before I bought it, I know most people think some MOTs aren’t worth shit but by the two pictures below you will see that the miles it had on its MOT and the miles its done since I bought it are less than 50miles. 30 of those miles was a trip to CMB Autos to confirm that it had a LSD OEM gearbox and it was driven back home and stripped apart.
Next thing is the car didn’t use any oil or overheat whilst I drove it and there was no funny noises coming from the engine. Before anyone says what does he know I’m a marine engineer by trade so I think I know if there was a problem with the bottom end or a camshaft was broken, especially the camshaft. Because if the cam was snapped while I drove it the car would shit it’s self and would not start. If the Big End bearing were as knackered as they are supposed to be there would have been a knocking sound coming from the engine and it would run like a bag of shit.
Next thing to clear up is rwdrev you came to Aberdeen and we removed the engine and it was sold as seen because I knew it was a running engine. people I have sold things to on here and people I personally know from this site will verify i sell things that work because I’m not into ripping people off as I’m not a arse or a scammer. For all I know these broken parts could of came from your already knackered engine and I’m not one for blaming out pointing fingers and ill easy own up to anything wrong I have done to anyone but I’m certainly not getting blamed for something that is out of my control.
Now at least I have said my side of the story and I’m sticking to it, I have already apologized for the mishap but It may sound a dick thing to do but I’m not giving a refund as sold as seen and also after this carry on. Also I do wish that some people wouldn’t be too quick to jump to conclusions and bad name people they wouldn’t like it happen to them.
This is all I’ve got to say about this and I’m not into petty arguments over the internet and for other people to add there bits into and I wont be commenting on this again and people can bad name me and not have anything to do with me but at least I know that I’ve done nothing wrong.

i should of checked it abit more than i did, but i needing it asap so i could drop it straight into mine, good job my mate egg'd me on to clean the head up and give it a quick revamp. but who ever built this engine before "said" person bought it should be shot IMMEDIATELY!!!! cos it had obviously been into before with the 6mm bead of gasket sealant poking out of the sump.
They couldnt pin a donkeys tail on its arse even if it was the size of the moon and wasnt wearing a blind fold. what a fuck up they made, i wouldnt trust the previous owner to make a cup of tea!!! wish i had stayed at home and not bought the bloody thing and just put the money straight into new parts for mine.

not even a slight bit of compensation has been thought of, just point blank, sold as seen, in other words "YOU HAVE JUST BEEN RAPED BY A BOLLOXED STARLET ENGINE, AND YOU WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY THAT MONEY FOR IT......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
