Fancy waking up to this

Yeah that would make me actually brown my bed sheets.
When was in Australia in 2003, i was staying at my Grans, and she sort of has an attachment to her bungalow, thats a bit "outsidey". So in the middle of one night i needs a pee, so this toilet really is like a outside dunny, the door didnt fully open, taking a pee lent up against a wall with a round light on it. Mid pee i thought wats above my head, stepping back looking up turning the light on, i see 4 great brown hairy legs just above where my head was. Its was one o their house spiders, about 3" across, needless to say i kept it in till the morning.

My bro had a very similar experience when he went to Oz a couple years ago. He was crashing at a mates place and woke up in the night to go to the toilet, when he came back he noticed a freakin' huge scary spider on the ceiling.
His mate found my bro asleep in the hallway with the spare room door frimly shut in the morning!

I don't mind the big spider, they're slow moving and generally docile unless threatened. I've held an African Red Kneed Tarantula before. Surprisingly light for such a large spider and very slow moving.
The thought of the little ones scurrying about makes me skin crawl though. :homer:

when i was living in the barrack block I was in bed with my girlfriend when we noticed a huge bastard of a spider in the corner of the ceiling. I'm fucking petrified of em so I had to go to my mates room to get him to get rid. He strolled in in just his boxers, pulled it off the ceiling and threw it out the window. Oh yeah, i felt like a real man! But she still married me so she couldn't have been that let down.

That's all very well mate, but what happens when the bugger crawls back out of the hoover like it did to me!
I vacuumed up a big'un last summer and left the vac in the lounge and started watching telly. Half an hour later it came crawling out of the hose! Needless to say we all legged it as it made a beeline for us!

i thought that till my brother got one, must have bought the only red knee with an attitude problem lol all the others that ive seen/held have been fine. my brothers spider (dubbed "lilly") is a right little bitch.
Ill try and put a photo up, scares the bejesus outta me.
