Kief Halek man - as you may know, I used to live in Saudi and go back there all the time, and the place is FULL of FJ Cruisers, its very much a shebab car. I used to like it but got sick of its commonality.
What I do know though is that its apparently incredible offroad - its essentially a shortened 4Runner anyway, so its bound to be adept offroad - saying that, onroad its ok. The V6 can struggle a bit with the weight, and I'm not sure about Egypt, but in Saudi at least they never sold the manuals. They're also a bit expensive on the 2nd hand market...I've seen 10,000km cars only 1000-5000sr less than retail before.
Not sure if there were ever any problems - I know the Traction control can be a pain offroad, but not sure of any recalls or specific problems etc. I like the car overall, its more of a plaything if anything! Also, you can get the TRD Supercharger kit for it and it'll be still under Toyota warranty

well yes we have alot of options for it here , 2wd and 4wd , manual and auto ,
well that sounds great so far , we got alot of deserts too , rough terrain , and broken roads . so that sounds good so far ! you shouldve told me about the charger lol ! ill look for it !

Hehe, I still go there a lot now, and they're just everywhere - I really need to try one out in the dunes! But apparently they're impossible to get stuck (obviously an exaggeration, but it seemed more adept than most). I think something like the FJ, you have to choose spec depending on what you want out of it...as you know in Saudi, and Egypt etc, the guys used to love the old FJ Land Cruisers, which is why they sold like hot cakes! And as such, I think it lives up to the offroadability of the old ones too! And I think you don't get options like locking diffs till mid-spec and above. I never knew they did a 2wd one though?! What's the point!! Haha
The rear cabin is a bit small though...I'm only 1m70 but I still found the back small! But yeah, if you do a lot of offroading, I'd do it man, as I said, chebab car, just for fun. thats right the locking diff is an option , 2wd no point exactly ,
ive heard the back space was tight too , 8000 wow ! thats like 20% of the cars price heh , will have to look into that . but yeh funky offroader !
