That fast road one is too far away for me to bid on without looking first and i'd be gutted to do a 15 hour round trip drive if its a shitter !

I might have to see if i can get a track day with a westfield/caterham to see how i get on.

Yes i know i would be worried about knocking any car but would rather it was a £8k jobbie than a £12-£14k classic like a cosworth

The car i get would purely be for weekend and track use as i have a cupra fr tdi as a daily which is nice enough

if u buying a mk1 RS get your wallet ready. dont get me wrong tuneable and very fast handling is very good too, but the fuel bill is mental.

depends what ya want 2bh

plus its no cosssssieeeee

The girl I'm seeing just now has a mk1 rs and loves it. I was surprised how much I liked it myself, but its just too dear in my opinion for a car of that age that doesn't blow you away much performance wise. Still some good power to be had with them but just not for me. Could get a really decent evo etc for that kind of cash.
Only problems she has had were with the chargecooler pump which needed replacing, not a hard job tho.

Cheers for all the pros and cons lads, i'm still not 100% sure on what i want, always the same when you've got no money there is loads of stuff you want and when you have it, there's nothing.

I don't mind evo's but i'm more of a hatchback car man and finding a well looked after one is another battle !

My nephew just bought a Megan 225, got a drive in it and I was really impressed with the way it handled and stopped. Not in the same league as the RS or the like but a lot cheaper and you could get an 06 with change.

oh yes didn even think of these, a guy has one at are local meet, it flys gives alot of the cossies a good run for there money an they looks smooth in black.

trying to get my dad to buy one of these lol. fast as hell with a few simple mods. would prefer the 6 mps tho cus its got 4wd wheras the 3 mps is fwd. bit of a crazy car if tuned especially.

the Mk1 focus has a forged engine as standard with fancy valves etc all stock, i think with the right ecu and turbo you could be knocking about in a fast car very handy...
