About to sell mine as i have purchased a GT4 . It will be my knew project. Will miss the GT as it was the first car that had a bit of zip to it. Can't wait to see what the GT4 can produce though

Sold mine glanza while back, just was sick of the how unpractical it was and lots of small problems, loved the pretty much everything about it except for the reasons why i sold it, big regret to get rid, but will be buying a GT end of this week, will be my 4th starlet :p

Loved my first one the most. Was the first quick car I ever had. It was really reliable and never let me down. However being young and stupid I floored it out of a roundabout at 2 in the morning and got nicked at a silly speed by radar gun. Decided to sell as I was scared I couldnt resist temptation but bought a black one 2 months after the court date.

I loved the cheapness, how rare they were (in my area) and the retro jdmness.Didnt like how small it was and it was fairly uncomfortable. I also wasnt very clued up on them or engines back then. I wish it was still mine :slap::slap::(:(

only things i miss from owning starlets is how damn cheap they are to run and how reliable they are.
its the fuel for me thats it! the silvia is so much more fun to drive imo but she knows how to drink the fuel  i would have got 60 miles to a 10er in the starlet only geting 40 atm in the silvia and a week to a set of rear tyres but thats my fault :haha:

So sold the 200 for a scooby and i absolutely love it, i couldnt have another Starlet i just couldnt the only way i would have another one is if i got my glanza back, the only thing i miss is atm is the fuel consumption lol 280miles to £54 out of the scooby still ent too bad i suppose

Well i have owned three Starlets, all GT's.

I do have a softspot for them and even now im considering getting another one, however the interior of them SERIOUSLY lets the side down, its cheap and it feels cheap in my opinion - i know il only drive the car every now and then but even a fiesta zetec turbo im looking at getting (no joke its a beast and mint) has a much better interior.

I do miss the cheap tax and how cheap the car was to run though and they are reliable motors definately (beisdes those god damn heater matrix's!)

damit im getting both shit ends of the stick lol... mine is expensive to maintain as well!!!

Nah i will be completely honest. Most starlets do not do much for me in comparison to other performance cars ive driven etc. Thats kind of the reason ive changed pretty much every bloody thing on mine lol. Including the full interior and the engine :p
EDIT: I will say there are a good few exceptions of EP's though as some are unbelievably well modded and love the look of them too. IMO your hard pushed to find a more fun car unless your buying a kit car.

On another note, its my beast track/drag/weekend toy im building. NOT an everyday car so the problems mentioned in this thread dont really have an effect on me.. Im buying another car for everyday when my GT is complete.

Although I have a Starlet GT now, I miss my old Glanza Replica.

Running costs were fuck all and the car still did a lot, not performance wise but it was nice to drive and attracted a lot of attention, well sometimes it was the wrong type of attention but still an awesome first car and I do miss it!
