ensure oil level is at or close to the max mark on the dipstick.
take the oil return pipe off the turbo. remove the efi fuse and leave the plugs out.
turn the car over until the oil light goes out, continue cranking over until you get oil coming out of the oil return from the turbo. (dont crank for too long in one go as it can put excess strain on the starter due to it getting hot).
put oil return back on and plugs back in. crank it over one last time to ensure oil light goes out again.
put efi fuse back in, link B+ and fp in the diagnostic connector, turn on ignition (but dont start) for about 10 seconds or so (this will prime the fuel system).
remove link and start the car.
just keep an eagle eye on everything as it is warming up. make sure the coolant system is bled of air and filled up whist doing this.
run the engine at different rev ranges while it is warming up.
once up to temp and the fan has come on at least once, check ignition timing (if its been put together right then it wont be far out at all).
if you are happy everything is ok, you can take it for a drive. personally i make sure the car moves and then i shut it off. let everything cool down, recheck all levels and make sure it is 100%
after that, start the car up and take it for a good drive. if your map is safe enough give it a little boost, dont labour the engine too much or rev it too hard, but make sure you vary the revs as much as possible and use lots of engine breaking.
