Freshening up the underneath of the car?

well lads.
seeming as my car is 21 in January and was parked up in a field in Kerry for a long time,i'm planning on sending it to someone to have the entire underneath or it sanded down,sprayed up and wax oiled or something like that.
i'm not sure what exactly is involved in doing so,so i'm just wondering how much would it roughly cost?
any information on this would be appreciated.

do it your self mate cost ya fourtune to get it done somewhere in ireland anyway nice bita labour involved in it but at end of the day its underneath ya cant go wrong really???

Get an NCT wash, buy your self a wire brush and do the rusty bits with it, bit of paint and a brush and then blow on the wax oil sorted for about €30

Just do not blow it up around or near the engine bay, ya will pay for it when the car heats up the smell is horrid

i got the large tin black (waxoyl) in halfords for around 40euro... jacked d car up wirebrushd d whole underneath and put the waxoyl on took around 2 hrs....

for the arches i also added hammerite 5yr protection (gate paint) so she l never rust! :cool:

well worth the 2hrs il never have 2 worry bout rust attacking my car 4 a while :) :drive:

if you want the sealer to last dont use waxoil i waxoiled my old gt an it only lasted about a year an a half. shultz or the stone chip stuff that is on the car from factory is the only way to go. ul need a compressor for the stone chip stuff thats the only thing.

waxoyl is only meant too last a year anyway, but if used every year, better applied when its dry, in the summer, or atleast when the salt is by from the winter.

ronan u on dtd dunner gti offered me 100 to underseal the whole car if thats any good ??
