from 4E-FE to 4E-FTE

Hi guys !

i want to swap from 4E-FE (ep91) to 4E-FTE so the question is
¿wich parts i need in my 4E-FE engine to make it turbO??
the wiring harness and ECU are the same ? :S?
do i have to change anything else????


also a i have a manual 4-speed gearbox in my yard it works on the 4e-fe or fte?

would be best to do the conversion, as if you keep the 4EFE ECU and engine you will need to restrict the amount of boost due to the very high compression dome on the pistons and relatively mild ECU tune for the 4efe, best bet would be a 4EFTE conversion, of which you'll need:

- full 4efte engine
- 4efte wiring loom
- 4efte ecu
- all ancillaries like turbo, intercooler, MAP Sensor etc...
- 4efte downpipe
- appropriate exhaust system

maybe is better sell the Glanza S and buy a EP82 ?

to much pieces, i thought that was more easy =S

the only thing that serves me is the chasis and tyres lol !

thanks anyway, no more options right ?

Or you could just lower kompression, and get manifold and turbo from 4efte.
Got a friend who's done that, running 0,75 bar, with MEgasquirt..

Yes you need manifold, turbo, IC, pipeing.
He shaved 1mm of pistons to lower compression.
But if you only run low boost(0,3-0,4) then you dont need to.
Just make sure you tune it right..

Talked to him yesterday, he didn't lower compression, he is running 0,9 bar on stock 4efe engine with CT12 turbo and megasquirt ECU.
