gearbox pops out of 5th ...

My gearbox pops out of 5th, i was just wandering whether it would be worth getting it reconditioned or just to buy another fully working one ?

or if you have any other suggestions as to how to solve it it would be helpful

say its your sychro ...you can change the 5th gear synchro easliy enough but you might as well do the whole lot while your at it...a rebuild would be fine.

check the gearbox mounts first sometimes it can knock it out if gear if they are badly worn.
if they look okay id get the gearbox rebuilt
