Right lets start a fresh. Bought a fully re-built gbox with lsd off here for my silver gt (not naming names) Had it fitted it leaked fluid so i got it up in the air and saw it was leaking from the os shaft so i thought they damaged a seal gotta new seal from toyota and its at the garage now and there saying that its the gbox and the shafts are moving.
Why didnt they tell me this when they originally fitted it?
They putting the shafts in wrong?
The diff worn?

Anyone please help me out?

there is slight in and out movement on the shaft that goes in the gearbox, this is supposed to be there.

if it is leaking after having new seals put in, it's possible that the casing that the shaft goes into and the seal goes in, is damaged.

you could get a thing called quick steel, or metal resin, if done right you could make it flat and the seal would do it job

Diff support bearings could be worn mate, making the diff tip from side to side.

If you bought the box off who you said you did when i picked up the cage, i would be wary as he seems to have done some dodgy stuff it appears as of late :(

Sell me the silver GT dirt cheap as is :p lol

well you need to take the shaft and seal out first to inspect the casing for chips and damage etc etc etc.

if cant find anything that will cause it to leak, then i would recomend taking it to a gearbox specialist.

the chances of you getting your money back from whoever you bought it from would be pretty remote, so unfortunately it gonna be one of them things u gotta fix, or sell it cheap and let someone else sort it.

catch 22 in a way
