Glanza 0-60 mph! What would be the 0-60mph Ct9 Running 1 Bar?

I understand that it would depend on the mods, but what would be on average 0-60 mph???

By the way did anyone tried to mod an Auto Glanza and what kind of BHP can the gearbox hold -)))

afaik the average 0-60mph on a ct9 is round about 6.9sec

as for the autobox it will hold till 210ft/lbs of torque.. but after that the torque convertor will start slipping.

So it's 6.9 Sec with 1 bar of BOOST?????
210ft/lbs - how much BHP is that - around 200???

well put it this way.. the 0-60 is pretty much speculation .. to really know ud have to try a time attack on a dyno..

as for torque to bhp... i cant really suggest, as you may have a very high bhp car with very little torque (ie focusing mainly on acceleration) or you may end up with a setup of much more torque than bhp (as commonly seen in very rich/retarded situations or on diesels..)

hope that helps

OK. thank you for that!

THen I need to know if someone who has a Glanza with 1 bar CT9 did a dyno and what was the 0-60 - of course every car would vary depending on the mods, but I want to see the average! -)

Why is it such a big deal for the 0-60? Its just pub talk. And it all depends on the driver too.

agreed on pub talk comment.
depends on so many variables its very very hard to state exactly what time it would do. driver and conditions all come into play
best acceleration test is at the drag strip however

calculated off the drag time slips (i did over 60 passes last season) and confirmed to within .1sec on gps system of a mates my ep71 with ct9b at 10psi does 0-100km/hr (60mph) in 4.9sec and 0-135 (84mph) in 8.2sec (thats half track down the qauter mile) and for those that are interested or who are at the bar talking smack while on the old wifi connection, full qauter mile ET is @ 13.22sec

As said, it depends on many things, even with the same driver, you have your good and bad days, so everytime a 0-60 run is done, it will be marginally different everytime.

I know it's a pub talk - but most of the cars compare by 0-62 mph time! And as a standard STARLET GT 0-62 is 6.9 sec, I had no idea about the Glanza V and in particular an AUTO version!

I have an auto as well, and I'm pretty sure it has 4 gears + the overdrive is 5th! I do 100mph in 5th gear and have 4K RPM, 120mph and 5K RPM.
I've noticed that all the starlets and glanza's have A242E - E means that this is an electronic controlled, but there are different versions of those gearboxes depending on the year! By the way the Gearbox was specifically designed for our cars and Toyota didn't use it on other cars!

Rev what Year is your car???

Rev what Year is your car???[/QUOTE]

As far as I can tell 1992 EP82 engine but I'm using a manual 1992-1994 ECU uncapped boost, speed limiter etc. with rev limit set at 7500.
Yes it is a A242E --- Can you confirm what axle you have? - It says 712 but that is a 5efhe auto axle number I am still not sure?

Yes it is a A242E --- I do 100mph ( 160 kph ) the same at approx. 3880 revs ( with 17" tyres ) in overdrive ( based on safc readout at 80k ) so I guess in theory thats 309kph ( 193 mph ) at my rev limit. Can you confirm what axle you have is it the 712 ?

Mine is Ep91 - and 1998 model (which is not just a facelift - like everyone says, the engine is the same, but the electronics is different!)
It says 242E - 05A

The radiator also cools the gearbox and the actual radiator is double thickness of the Manual Glanza Radiator!

Mine has no rev limit - I've done 8500 RPM once, also the speed limited has been taken off, goes over 112 mph!

0-60 are all different to every car and driver, you can't predict it unless you really go out to a drag strip and do many run down the track.

Too many variables:
Car's power (the all too spoken BHP and torque)
Car's wheels + tyres
Fuel loading
Road condition (dry/wet/moist)
Ambient temperature
Car's load (amount of unwanted stuff inside - eg spare wheel and passenger :p )
Driver's weight
etc etc...

Modifying those variables in the 0-60 run, it will change your result.

Have a 40kg driver and a 120kg driver to drive the same starlet. It WILL be different.

I just want to know the AVERAGE - what people had in the past on their starlets with CT9 running at 1 bar! My current setup does 0-60 in around 8 sec or even more! Pretty standard Glanza!

why dont u just go and try it? seriously there isnt an "average" as said it depends on so many things.
