Groaning/groaning noise when slowing down

Hey guys,

In the past week or so my glanza has been making a (REALLY LOUD!) sort of droning/groaning noise when slowing down after driving for a few minutes. It doesn't happen specifically when I'm using the brakes, but I think it could be them. Might be wheel bearing but not sure of the symptoms of this? It must be something to do with something warming up after a few minutes, as if you leave it standing for a little while the noise goes, but starts up again later.

Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated!

If it's a wheel bearing if you Jack the car up and spin the wheel it will make a grinding noise

is the noise there also when rolling to a stop and you are clutched in (assuming it's a 5MT)..?

could be your wife/girlfriend? but that tends to be when you are speeding up!

is it coming from the front or back?

Have you checked your power steering fluid lately? could be the fluid is getting low in the power steering tank.
