Sorry bout late reply, yeah it can be used as a heat shield for the manifold if you can modify it to fit no problem, as for what temperature does it work up to, im not 100% sure but i know it will last far far hotter than a turbo on a Starlet.

Hope this helps and ill get the confirmed temperature for you.

The inside layer of these is heat resistant to over 1100 degree's, the top layer is resistant to 250degree's but that layer is there to make it resistant to oil and other liquids.

These can hold temperatures up to 1100deg's C which is far hotter than any turbo will get.
