Gt dies on start, low idle

Hello Eveyone.
I have an issue with my MK1 GT starlet. When you start the car it will bog, die and flash the engine light. Also have low idle to around 500~ rpm and the steering wheel shakes.
Have done a new ignition system, timing belt, cleaned the map, new fuel pump and filter.

any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

have you tried the simple stuff?...adjusting the idle screw, cleaning the idle control valve

Yes I have tried the simple stuff. Tried 3 different IACV. Idle screw doesn’t seem to work. No error codes.

could you explain further on the idle screw not working?--is it stuck? does it alter the rpm when turned?

You can adjust the tick over using the throttle cable also

Yes it does. But if I turn it to much on a really cold start it will be too high rpm. I adjusted it and thought I fixed the issue after two days of driving. Issue came back.

I have moved the throttle cable slightly. Nothing crazy. When it’s low idling and I go to drive it it’s like the car wakes up again. Car drives and boosts fine.
