HDI boost Controllers, optional output?

hi, was wondering does anyone know what exactly the optional output does on a hdi boost controller, im aware its for connection to a water spray or co2 spray etc and operates when full boost is reached but how does it work? i believe this is the orange wire in the harness btw. does it send 12v+ out the cable or is it only a small signal voltage? sorry if that sounds confusing!

i kinda know what you mean, i fitted mine today, i conected up the blue, red, green and grey to a switch but i left the orange (the pressure one) and the purple one( turbo timer) out.
