Hdi with 98 spec : )

Anyone on here have the HDI intercooler fitted with a 98 spec glanza bumper? Im just wondering how much needs to be cut to fit behind the 98 spec as my 96 spec bumper is almost gone lol, also what mounts do i need to put a 98 spec on my early spec glanza? cheers, starlybruiser :)

depends really as if you remove air con and make custom brackets, then you will hardly need to cut a 98 spec bumper to fit the hdi. :freddy:

Ah sounds good, ive fitted my hdi cooler but my 96 spec bumper is hacked and it still doesnt fit! plus i just dont like the look of it anymore, loks bodged, im too fussy i know lol. ive removed aircon and ive already made custom brackets and the cooler sits about a 10mm away from the center bar thing that goes from the cross member up to the bonet catch, think that will be far enough back for the 98 spec bumper? also what mounts do i need to fit one? cheers mate, thanks for the help once again :)

if u have the con out and custom brackets made it should fit ok as another member on here has it on a 98 no probs. 100 for 98 spec bumper from toyota and just get the grill and mounting bracket kit bud:freddy:

Yeah i will probly try that, might take it to a body shop and get them to cut and spray it, probly wont cost too much, i hope lol

Do you know what member has the hdi with the late spec bumper? i would love to see some pics, cheers starlybrusier :)

Its the same type as herbs/easys, 98 spec

WOW that looks very nice, so is that all needs cutting is the middle part? anything under the bumper need to be cut out? i found on my 96 spec bumper the fogs were getting in the way so i had to hack under it too, is it different with these? also how far back was your intercooler sitting? cheers buddy

Yeah not much cutting at all was needed. Yeah you may need to take a bit out for the fogs.
To fit a 98 spec bumper you will also need the 98spec grill and bumper brackets.
