Head bolt grease application?

Quick question.
When using new head bolts to put the head back on do you need to lubricate/lube the bolts before they are torqued up?

Yes - a dab of lube on the threads, and again under the head of the bolts to make sure the torque readings are accurate

What kind of lubrication do I use? Anything specific?

I think any oil will do - I used Redline Assembly lube as its what I had to hand and I was refreshing my engine, but for the nuts, I'm sure any oil will do as they'll be torqued down immediately

aye just lube them with engine oil it will do the job its what i used doing my h/g and no problems with it nearly a year on.
