Hi,

I just bought my first starlet Gt Turbo. i bought this for the reason for me to get about in while i rebuild my skyline from the ground up. i was very impressed by a few of these at santa pod jap show this year. so when it came to getting a cheap runner there was no other car in my consideration.

the car i have purchased is a 1995 gt turbo. by the looks of this completely untouched. because i know absolutly nothing about these cars. i will no doubt be asking advise in the not so distant future. i do have 1 question to start though.

looking to change the rims. standard ones look very dull. lol whats the maximum size to go to without compramising handling? with that in mind any one with some semi decent refurbed rims for sale in the SE London / Kent region hollar at me.

You wont want any bigger than 16'' wheels mate, 15s and 16s a re your best bet though :)

Thanks Mate, i will once i get some shiney shoes on her. The Skyline However got shit loads on another forum, dont think it would be fair to post those on here lol.

as for the rim sizes, spot on mate thanks for that. i was just reading an aritcal about it. very interesting.

i take it tuning up is pretty much the same, air induction, decat and exhaust, injectors and remap for stage 1 ?

i think thats probably all i wanna do to this girl anyway. gotta spend shit loads on the other project

^^ for stage 1, you wont need injectors. I would recommend exhaust, decat, front mount intercooler, air filter & fueling mods. Cheapest being a fuel pressure regular setup or engine management (greddy emanage).

Oh and most people wind the boost up to 1 bar to get a bit more kick.

heres a quick joke for you

3 reasons why cars are better then women.

1. they go when you want them to go

2. they stop when you want them to stop

3. if you know what your doing with them you can get thir back end out.

acually those were parts in there. theres alot more in it now then when they were stuck on there. nismo gear box and rear welded diff. cusco strut braces, hks coil overs with tain springs. but shes gonna be all taken down to bare nothing and brand new rb30 engine importing from japland. and a few secret ideas for the skid pan. for next year at dwyb.

but for now i am really gonna enjoy saving a bit of cash on fuel running this beautiful beautiful girl around. shes has a few skuffs around her bumpers but nothing a bit of tlc wont sort out. apart from that shes pretty alright

yeah it is an auto. which makes it perfect for me. easy drive.

all mt wrekless driving skills are homes with others cars lol.

i have herd the auto boxes on these cars are quite responive though

also mikey, loving your rims on your avatar what make are they ?

Hey Buddy, Welcome to Tgtt

Mikeys Rims are Rota GT3's. nice wheels and they do a few different colours for them.

Have a look about mate, there are some GORGEOUS glanza's and GTs on here.

Good looking cars aswell mate, best of luck with them!
