HELP New mani fitted now can hear like a ticking type noise?

hey guys just fitted a new mani got it all together and started up now i can hear like a ticking noise? is this just coz its a new manifold?
ive got a horrible feeling. When i took off the heatshied to the olf manifold i dropped a bolt!! i had the turbo boost pipe covered 99 percent of the time so am pretty sure it couldnt of gone down there!!! could it?
i gave it a few gentle revs and nothing seemed to be any different exept this?
any one had out similar happen? Help please really worried!

from where tho? mani is off keith at zisco and it all fit pretty well it sounds just like a nut in a pipe !! i really hope it int and i think im just paranoid about it falling in the boost pipe fucking my turbo!
its like a ticking but stops if you rev it a lil bit dont wanna fuck it so might havr to take it to bits for piece of mind and hope i dont find this damm bolt amoung it all if i knew were it was i wouldnt be so worried.

didn leave a nu lose did you? i had one of my power steering pump bolts lose an that caused a similar sort of noise (ticking)

no mate all nuts were tight as you like and diddnt do out with the power stearing im thinking the worse as i do about everything but gonna take the boost pipe off and stick a magnet in for piece of mind at least i will know then weather or not the bastard is in there if theres a bolt on the end of that then it will of already of shagged the turbo wont it.

No mate dont have one. Took the whole thing back to bits earlier anyway for piece of mind found the stupid bolt i lost in the first place, which like I thought had'nt gone into the turbo after all was just me been paranoid, it had lodged down the side of the oil filter prob bouncing on the plate beneth causing the ticking/rattle will find out tomorrow when get it back together hopefully no ticking noise. found that bolt now anyway so panic over lol

is it like a click tick (watch, indicator type)?

If so open engine bay and there is a little white plug near hydralich fluid level, unplug that with engine on, if it stops that needs replacings but i'vve no idea where to get them mines done it for years

hi there check ya manifold i had a crack in mine an it ticked alot when the car was cold an stopped when it got warm
because it seal'd the crack when the manifold got up to temp.
not saying its cracked but you might have a little leak from head to manifold or
manifold to turbo from a bad gasket or somet

if its an uprated mani i had the same problem it was the face of the mani wasnt 100% flat with the head so i just put on 2 gaskets and job done

Same problem as me mate, i got a Zisco performance mani, replaced all gaskets except that one as it didn't come in time... And i had the ticking noise when you accelerate, it was a leak from the block to manifold due to old gasket.
