guys...

i have an emu (not sure with version) with the greddy 3 bar map sensor..
i want to get this launch control working

i am using the the ep82 manual ecu (2 connectors)
i will be wiring up the emu as per greddy wiring diagram ( T6 )

can anyone repost to me the screenshot again on how to get the launch control working...step by step..last time i printed i think it was 2 screens..
I have read thru the tread...i see a couple of screen shots..now am confuse which one is the correct one...

is the any other way for me to determine the version of the emu besides looking at the circuit board...as i want to know wether or not i'll be needing the injector adpter #2...

thanks ppl...

Hi mate

I can't help you with the launch control (my tuner set that up for me) but I can help you identify your emanage version.

This has been asked in two threads before and I have provided info in both.

Link 1

Link 2

I have an older version and that meant that I needed the injector adapter no2.
There is some info on the injector adapter in one of the two links also.

If you are located in the UK, Nick@tuning developments can get hold of one for you.

Hope this helps you along the way.

saw someone wrote...
the emu with serial no 4000 and above no need to use the injector adapter #2....is the serial no the one at the back of the box?
can anyone verify this...will be checking my emu later on

As far as I know its all versions below 'E' that have the unrevised circuit board (pcb)

Mine is a 'B' and needed the adaptor so that I could trim as well as add fuel (the important feature that was missing)

Its worth opening your unit at least once to check the version, its perfectly fine all you need is the right size allen key.

Here are all available serial numbers etc on my box: MODEL GSC-02

Item:CTTU006

Stock ID:TRTU05082259

15500501

and on the unit itself: GSCII 01807

High chances if your version is below 'E' you WILL need the injector adaptor no2 as it has the additional feature to allow fuel to be trimmed missing from the older versions like mine.

Did they get the lauch control to work properly on an ep82 reliably in the end as I no that it works fine on an ep91 or cars with varaible TPS but not on off TPS's, Iv got an ep82 & just wired the launch control into a switch giving a set voltage to the EMU unit.

Yea my launch control works on an ep82 as Iv wired it into the low boost switch (as its no longer needed & i didnt want to put more switches in) just used 2 wires from the low boost switch one goes to the TPS wire for the EMU, the other Iv spliced into the map sensor wire, then when you have the lap top on with the EMU software you can push the switch & input the Voltages manually.

so if ive wired it up according to the emu manual and follow the 2 screen shot on the below link it wont work ?
