high idle

i have a problem with my gt it has high idle of around 2000rpm but if i turn off car and restart it the idle is 1000rpm but once i drive it goes back high again hope ye can help me out thanks

could be the ICV, take it off, take it apart and give it a good clean.. if the problem is still there, id check for vacuum leaks

Check the throttle plate is closing, it may be stiff or clogged up with shit. Remove the intake pipe at the throttle body and give it a good spray with some brake cleaner and wipe it out.

yeah already have them checked im thinkin it could need new throttle body if its stickin

tps mate, i had similar symtoms, and found the tps was not giving correct readings, now tih new sensor, it is fine.
worth checking ys tps matey, id presume car is stock???
if so heres tutorial on setting tps up.

my engine is from an automatic glanza was told the idle would be higher would i have to replace throttle body

Yeah the throttle bodies are different on the manuals and auto's if I remember correctly.

as far as i know, the TPS on the automatic throttle body is different to the manual one so the connector wouldnt fit so maybe theres a manual one on there already for it to fit the loom?
