another honda vs toyota thread...
:shoot:
Lol some comments on here are funny.
My old Glanza, which made 200bhp would easily have EP3's and EK9's in a straight line. Proven many-a-time at Knockhill. The twisty bits weren't so plain sailing. The EP3 was evenly matched with my Glanza but the EK9 could brake later and carry far more speed through the corners than my Glanza.
Personally mate, I'd just turbo the EK9
mate, a standard one will deal with a standard type R, well just about lol
ive had blast with a ek9, mine is standard well filter, dump v/v, 16's, and a full kakimoto exhaust system, but still runnin 0.7 bar, and there was nothing in it, he was 1 passenger up, but we wer even stevens, 3 blasts. and i stayed infront, and the same with him.
captain starlet will know the ek9 im on about, and im sure hes had a play with it aswell.
i dont know mate, only thing he said was summit about how it had only been running 5 mins, and hadnt been warmed up, so summit to do with the vtec not working properly, i just assumed he was making excuses, i dont know what power mine is runnin, i havent had a blast with anything else really, so cant compare, but at 0.7 and still on the top mount, it wont be that much power.
its exactly misinformation like this that causes arguments in these threads about hondas and toyotas. Your information has changed drastically between all three posts above.
Starts with a stock Glanza will keep up with a type R civic just about and ends up that the civic wasnt able to hit vtec... if thats true you should probably have said it in the first post rather than have the lad thinking a stock Glanza is as fast as a stock type R when everyone knows thats rubbish.
i dont know about vtec, and too me, the car not being warm enough to get vtec??? i assumed its not a turbo, so why need to warm right up, 5mins i thought would be enough, for n/a car to get to operating temps. so didnt make sense, some1 who knows more about honda's and "vtec" could confirm if that is true or not.

back to the stated topic...
i wouldnt call a 200bhp starlet highly modified, as it really doesnt take much to get there and can be done on the cheap. so your looking for a mildly tuned facelift glanza v, id advise doing it urself as your'd learn more and could maintain it urself. but as ur keen on buying someones car, id advise doing some research on starlet mods before buying something hazardly tuned. its safe to say your in good hands on this site, good luck with the search.
