Hks adjustable actuator

Struggling to work out where the brass restriction goes for the hi/lo solenoid.
From what I think its says on the translated instructions it goes on the 100mm hose from the turbo to the actuator but if this is the case won't it be restricted all the time.
FYI I drove it with the restricted on the 100mm pipe it I didn't feel the hi/lo function was working.

Tbh, the hi/lo function doesn't really work great, especially once you modify the car with an exhaust and especially a decat.

The restrictor is only there to slow the response to the actuator to try and smooth the boost control.
It doesn't make much difference in reality. It should go on the pipe that goes to the actuator.

Interesting. I recently installed the actuator, manifold, rebuild ct9 and took it for a drive and it drove really good. The hi/lo function worked as normal. I got the 2.5 inch exhaust installed yesterday and now it feels like it doesn't work at all.
It's a bit of a let down honestly I always wanted that to work as normal. Do I need to look into a 2 stage ebc or something and can it be hooked up to the button?

The high/lo function is just a bleed valve.
With a free flow exhaust, the boost just creeps up anyway, so you end up with similar boost levels for high and low.

An ebc would give you better control, but if you are below fuel cut, you may still struggle to control at lower boost levels with the stiffer hks actuator.
