just been messin round wit my dump valve today. i disconected it and luved the chatter was wonderin is der any way i could set it up so that the dump valve only opens on high boost. and chatters on low boost say up to 10 psi or so? like a stronger spring or something... also wondering my friend has the same dumpvalve and ther is a small screw in the back of it and it missing on mine...is that screw for adjusting the sound or what?

some people think its bad for the turbo and others dont i have been useing chatter for almost a year now and my turbo is still grand

If its adjustable you will be able to tighten it up so you get chatter but when you drive it hard it will dump as usual. you will need that screw thats missing to adjust it though.

Are you saying that the screw isn't in it any more or that there was never any screw in it because as far as I know, the newer ssqv's dont have the screw at the back, only the older ones.

yes thats corect..the older gen 1 style has the adjuster (some cheap ebay ones dont have the adjuster??? gay gay ) and the gen 2 ssqv hasnt got the adjuster at all !!!!!

i personnally run a gen 1 style hks ssqv and i love the sound with the adjuster as loose as possible

if you loosen it a bit and wen giving it some ease out the accelerator pedel it will chatter and dump in higher gears and lower revs or if you take off the vacuum line and put a bolt in it (2 stop the car idling high) it will make a nicer chatter
