hks dump valve question relating to HDI intercooler

Whilst fitting my HDI Intercooler kit, I have ran into a problem with the HKS dump valve I have.

Now I've purchased this bit of hosing for the dump valve below:

However when coming to fit it, I ran into this problem

The dump valve won't sit correctly due to the bit circled.

Do I just need a different bit of hosing or another type of dump valve? I've tried removing the bottom bit, but it just keeps turning.

thanks for any help

cheers, looks like I'm heading off to buy some circlip pliers and now I need the adapter, looks like my car is off the road for a few days.

get some big beefy ones with big handles, might be easier if you get someone else with a flat screw driver levering it up and working there way round while you squeeze like made on the circlip.

There appears to be two types of adapters 1 @ 29mm and 1 @ 34mm, does anyone know which one I need?

Is there anything suitable I can use to block off the dump valve opening on the intercooler pipe while I wait for the part to arrive?

Another issue I have to resolve is my air filter relocated in front of the drivers side wheel, so I'm not sure I can finish everything yet anyway.

thanks for the advice and help guys. :)
