HKS evc 4 boost controller Question

anyone know how to set up this cunt of a thing? ive followed the instructions (which dont explain exactly what your supposed to do) and everything is setup right with no leaks etc etc.. feel like ripping it out at this stage, its over complicated to set up and just wont let me which is annoying me to no lenght

iv a profec A here that wouldnt let me set it up, absolute rubbish that learning mode is man. can you set the boost with out the learn mode?

as far as i can see i can-ish but what happens is, example: set the controller to .8, it boosts to 1bar, same on low boost, .45 on the controller is .7 on the boost gauge.... the boost gauge has never been wrong so im not going to refuse its output.. the controller is good as it was boosting fine last week on another car "gt"..... its just very complicated and impossible to set up.. whay cant it just do whats its supposed to fuckin do like..

when you set it to "0.8bar" you telling it you want it to start opening the wastegate at that point, try setting it to 0.4 / 0.5ish then use the gain to raise the boost

theres a gain?? haha, man the instructions are a joke and theres no mention of a gain feature there.. this learn mode i dont agree with at all, you've to near red line the engine for it to program and after that it goes to "boost pressure setttings" (which it says on the instructions but doesnt do) then ya go seting the low setting which involves turning the knob counter clockwise, press alt and it goes to high setting, turn the knob and "h" starts flashing yada yada yada, it just wont do what i want it to do, after a day trying to set it ive near enough of it, unless i can get someone that has had this unit in their cars like this to set it up, it will be finding a new home very fast..

these dont have a gain setting. they have a offset mode, which is what u need to use, see if u can find the Offset in the instructions, i cant remeber off top of my head how u get to it. but i know u raise the number or lower it till it sets the boost where its showing it. are u sure u arent having boost creep or are you runnung ewg

has the offset mode alright, zero boost creep mate.. internal waste gate and yes, the switch is set right, near impossible to set it man but ill go at it again 2moro when ive more patience
