horrid noise when turnin slow speed? power steering belts all good...???

hello have a glanza and i have just started to get this really bad noise comin from the power steerin?? its not my belts as checked them.. sounds like a gritty horrid noise... there is no way to say wot it sounds like??

it sort of sounds like something metal draggin on the floor!!

Do you hear the noise only when turning at slow speed or also while the wheels are straight? Could it be the CV joints going bad?

na only when turnin... it sounds like when a belt slips but its not sounds more metal sound to me??? or fluid has a air lock in somewhere..

could it be cause the fliud is old??

X2 sounds like you have LSD gearbox. Jack up one side front and see if it's hard to turn.

dont think it has a LSD as had the car up and turned wheels and the other wheel went the other way.(was meant to have a LSD gearbox when bought but found out someone had removed it!!! gutted..

it has never made this noise before and i have had it 7 months...

Remove the belt that drives the power steering pump, if the noise goes away then it's likely to be coming from the pump.
