how to connect external wastegate

hi, i'm really confused, i have an external wastegate and the guy who installed the kit used the intercooler piping like a vacuum for the wastegate, but my friend who has a turbo honda used his intake as vacuum for the wastegate. i searched and searched and couldn't find the right answer..., a few threads say they use the intake and some say they use the turbo as vacuum.

can anyone explain which vacuum i should use?

you can use the turbo if it has a vacuum port or u can use the inlet mani, i use the inlet because my turbo doesnt have a vacuum port.

Its not a problem buddy. We all use vacuum source from the intake manifold.

X2 my turbo has No vacuum port. I use the inlet mani port. It will then boost to what ever spring you hav inside.
