That'd be cheap alright, but pretty innacurate.
Check on ebay for a Pivot Speed Meter (they do a V and Z version afaik)
It allows you to do 0-60 and 1/4 times, and more. It shows the speed and rpm etc on its display too. Comes in at around about £50 brand new
