what do the high powered starlets use to keep the intercooler piping on? on the turbo side of my td04 it keeps blowing off! only boosting 0.7 bar and held on with t bolts really really tight! not sure what else i can do!? :( its been modded abit to fit the td04 but dont think that would cause it to blow off as ive tightened them up. please someone help its really doing my head in, boosting along then "pop" and all the pressures gone.

Small bit of duck tape around the pipe can help give the silicone sleeve something to grip also.

thanks for the replies, not sure why my t bolts arnt working, also got jubilee clips around and very tight but just keeps poping off the turbo! will have another go 2nite, wont be getting mapped to 1 bar if this isnt fixed, will never hold the pressure!

is the silicone hose coming off from the turbo to ic piping too short? if so try to get one longer so wil fit more tightly and will have no room to move, said from my experience :)

its quite long mate, plenty of room to grip onto the turbo outlet, may have to take it all apart and make a different route and clamp it tighter

You noooobs!

There needs to be a ridge around the end of the pipes, otherwise it will ALWAYS come off!

Grrrr.

They need to be like this or they wont ever stay on....

Have a bead of weld or a few dabs of weld put on the end of pipe / pipe lip. I run mine like this with t clamps and never have any trouble. Cheapest way of getting a ridge.

Same here, running 1.4 bar on td04 and not had any problems since this.

about 4 1" long beads of weld round edge of boost pipes.

As the guys above have said - edge needs to be rolled. we can do it if you want to send it over but there's probably someone near you who can do it.
