idle prolem please help

hi there when i start the engine in the morning its runnind 1500rpm then once ive drove it and at top tempreture of running its idle is 1000 but it would rise back up some time to 1500 ill get it sureging some times going up and down a few rpm,s but not all the time hope this makes sence if any one can help many thanks

try to clean out the ICV (idle control valve ) and check if your PCV is leakin as this would cause revs to rise (the small L shaped valve coming out of the rocker cover that connect to the inlet mani via a hose)

You may also have a boost leak. Common reason for high idle. Check all boost pipes, Intercooler pipes, dump valve etc. Do you hear a high pitched whine from anywhere in the engine compartment?

A faulty ICV will make it erratic, but i doubt it would create high idle really. Worth cleaning it though as mentioned above.

hi there no boast leeks front mount was fitted after the standerd and its the same tryed my mates idle control valve and still the same cant hear any leeks from my dump valve its weird coz sometimes its ok after its been driven for a wile you could have a long moter way drive and its back up again if you rev it some times it goes to where it should be could it be the tps can you clean them or are the exspensivethanks for all your help
